Dry and frizzy hair are common everyday issues that we all struggle with.
But why!? Why is my hair always frizzy. Even when I use conditioner!
Reason #1- Dryness
Frizzy hair sometimes is a way for your hair to cry for help. “I’m thirsty!”
Hair is naturally dry, and even when you condition in the shower, your hair is still dry. Using conditioner just in the shower isn’t enough.
You need a hair mask and a leave-in conditioner. Only using the mask once a week, but leave in conditioner every time you wash your hair!
There are many recipes out there to make hair masks at home from ingredients right in your kitchen. Look them up, test them out, modify according to which ingredients help your hair the most and cut out the ingredients that don’t.
No one’s hair is exactly the same. There is no universal product that works for everyone, which kinda sucks because in this case trial and error is the only way to find out what masks are better than others for your frizzy curls.
Reason #2- Buildup
Buildup on your hair has made it dry and it is reaching out and grasping for moisture, easily encouraged to misbehave by static electricity.
Treating buildup is very simple.
Clarifying shampoo is the best way to strip the build-up on the hair. Only using a clarifying shampoo once a week, leaving the shampoo on the hair for about a minute. And using a hair mask would be a special treat and help your hair stay hydrated and a little less frizzy.
My professional recommendation for the best clarifying shampoo is Paul Mitchell’s Shampoo Three. You can find it easily at most salons or on Amazon with the link below.

Reason #3- Switch Brands of Shampoo
Time to change shampoo and conditioner brands. Your hair will become used to one kind of product and will stop reacting the same way as before. Especially shampoo and conditioner.
In my professional opinion, avoid at all costs the cheap, generic shampoos from the grocery store filled with silicones and plastics. Specifically Suave and Pantene.
Silicones will dry out the hair and leave it frizzy, desperately reaching out for hydration. Thus, the stray frizzies.

Reason #4- Time for a Trim
You’re ready for a haircut. Cut off the dry, split ends, treat yourself to a mask or deep conditioning treatment. And let the baby hairs grow.
Everyone’s hair is different and reacts differently, to find the perfect formula that works for your hair is kind of a trial and error process. Best of luck!
